About Sigrie
The Sigrie World of Warcraft Database has been under development since 2008. It was entirely designed and written by Adys.
Entirely built on top of exclusively open source software, Sigrie and much of its backend has given birth to new projects contributing to its own community, such as libwdbc.
IRC
You can contact the team and the whole MMO-Champion community on IRC, #mmo-champion on QuakeNet. You will need an IRC client, such as X-Chat.
Software
- The database and hundreds of tools behind it are all coded in Python. Sleek, cross-platform and powerful, that language never fails to provide a fun experience. It is run under Apache, thanks to mod_wsgi.
- The Django Framework is behind the web interface of the database. Optimized to smoothly run along World of Warcraft data, multiple patches that helped this website see the light have been sent upstream.
- PostgreSQL is the rock-solid, blazing-fast database engine that powers Sigrie.
- libmpq is to thank for much of the automation behind every update.
- Bazaar is the Version Control System used internally. It is fast, easy to understand and entirely in Python!
Version
